Production began in 2007 in a single facility, producing emulsified loaves such as polonies and deli cold meats. Today, we have three facilities in the vicinity, manufacturing chilled processed meat products to the highest level of food safety standards and practises.

These products are distributed countrywide within the formal retail and wholesale market.

Our focus is on private label products, but we also offer our own brands such as Thompsons Tasty Meats which has a brand legacy dating back to 1860. Over the years, the business has invested into state of the art machinery and processes to enhance product quality efficiencies in production.

Gen4Foods is ZA certified for export in SADEC countries and we are currently exporting to Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Lesotho and the Seychelles.
